Sinoco Ribbon предоставляет OEM&Решение для термотрансферной ленты ODM.
As a global leader in thermal transfer consumables, SINOCO recently conducted a series of printing tests using our SNR8220 Gold Thermal Transfer Ribbon on PS580 satin ribbon.
Comparative Study: Performance Differences Between TSC 244Pro (200dpi) and TSC TE310 (300dpi) in Ribbon Printing
This test demonstrates the practical differences between printers of varying resolutions—TSC 244Pro (200dpi) and TSC TE310 (300dpi)—through a direct visual comparison of transfer results, helping customers select the most suitable solution based on their specific needs.
Performance Analysis: The Real Gap Between 200dpi and 300dpi
Under identical low-speed printing conditions of S-2IPS (2 inches per second), we compared the transfer quality of "Happy Birthday" calligraphy fonts:
1. TSC 244Pro (200dpi) —Incomplete thermal transfer with relatively high print Density
Parameter Settings: High Density Mode (D-10).
Transfer Integrity: The performance is marginal. Due to the physical pixel limitations of the 200dpi printhead, we must significantly increase the energy level to ensure the ribbon transfers completely onto the fabric. Even so, when processing ultra-fine script lines and decorative star shapes, visible break points and edge burrs occur, failing to achieve 100% transfer.
Gloss Performance: Due to the continuous high-heat output, the gold foil layer becomes overheated. This results in a duller finish that lacks the mirror-like reflection characteristic of premium metallic prints, leading to a flatter visual effect.
2. TSC TE310 (300dpi) — Superior Transfer Integrity and Enhanced Metallic Gloss
Parameter Settings: Requires only Medium-Low Density (D-4).
Transfer Integrity: Outstanding Performance. Thanks to the 300dpi printhead's precise control over heat distribution, even extremely delicate script lines achieve a relatively complete transfer. Compared to the 200dpi model, the edge details are sharper and more intact, with no visible white spots or break points observed.
Gloss Performance: Printing at a lower energy level allows the coating of the SNR8220 Gold Ribbon to heat evenly. The final product exhibits a superior metallic mirror effect with high clarity and texture, meeting the rigorous visual standards of high-quality gift packaging.
Technical Summary
The test results indicate that PS580 Ribbon and SNR8220 Gold Ribbon maintain excellent compatibility in practical applications. By comparing different resolution devices under the same media and ribbon conditions, we found:
Printer Adaptability: While this series of consumables offers broad equipment compatibility, high-resolution models (300dpi) provide better transfer integrity and gloss when printing metallic colors due to more precise temperature control.
Parameter Optimization: Different resolutions require matching specific print speeds and energy levels. Accurate parameter settings ensure the ribbon layer transfers more completely to the media surface, resulting in an ideal finish.
